Tigers Sniff the Rose - Chapter 59
Chapter 59
The girl leaned in, pressing her face against his. The moonlight illuminated her profile, making it look translucent and soft.
It was no mere peck, but a deep, flowing intimacy.
Yan Shang: "Mmph..."
He was so stiff he dared not move. With his head against the wall, his mind felt as though it had exploded. He couldn't think; his brain was a blank void, unaware of what kind of situation this was.
She was so warm, mellow, and beautiful. Like sweet nectar, she flowed into his limbs and invaded his heart and lungs. She made his breathing hot, his body numb, and his spirit involuntarily surge with excitement.
But was this a punishment? Was this not a reward?
Yan Shang was hazy and his face was burning red. He thought to himself, how could this be a punishment? He had previously thought his kissing was poor, that she had lost interest in him, and that she never wanted to kiss him again... Yet this sweetness was still pouring into him, and she had returned once more.
It was not just leaning in to kiss him.
Amidst Yan Shang's rigidity, Mu Wanyao even rested her hands on his shoulders. Perhaps she found the leaning posture too tiring, for with a flutter of her skirt, she sat directly on his lap, right in his arms.
Their breaths mingled in the gloom. Her fingers were still a bit cold as she pinched his chin. Fragrant, soft, and lovable, she sat in his embrace and lowered her eyes to meet his upward gaze. She saw that the skin beneath his eyes was already flushed deep red, and when her fingers brushed against it, it was burning hot.
She could feel his legs stiffening.
Because she had never been this intimate with him before.
Mu Wanyao smiled silently, as if mocking his incompetence.
Trembling under her teasing gaze, Yan Shang opened his mouth and offered his tongue. His heart beat like a drum; he did not repel her, wanting only to move closer... Yet, just as the tip of his tongue touched hers, Mu Wanyao stopped.
He leaned in to follow, but she retreated, her vibrant lips refusing to let him touch them even slightly.
Yan Shang looked at her in astonishment.
Mu Wanyao still sat intimately on his lap, using her finger to hook his face, a mocking smile playing on her lips: "If you move, this is a favor—how could it be a punishment?"
Yan Shang: "..."
How quick-witted he was; faced with her somewhat malicious, teasing gaze, he instantly understood what she meant.
Yan Shang said in a low voice: "Only you are allowed to be active, and I am not allowed to respond?"
Mu Wanyao was languid: "Unhuh."
Yan Shang frowned, only now realizing how vexing she could be. Not letting him respond—this was indeed torture... Yan Shang turned his face away: "Your Highness, please behave with dignity."
Mu Wanyao: "Tsk."
She lowered her head to kiss his brow. Seeing his eyelashes flutter slightly, she couldn't help but give his lashes a soft, light kiss as well. Yan Shang looked up at her, enduring it, while Mu Wanyao said languidly: "Dignity? Why didn't you tell me to behave with dignity just a moment ago? Why think of it now?"
He pushed her away, his face flushed red: "That was my fault just now, but now you..."
Mu Wanyao would not do as he wished. Seeing his lips part, about to say something she didn't like, she leaned down once more and kissed his lips.
Yan Shang tilted his head back, exposing his neck as his Adam's apple bobbed slightly. Mu Wanyao’s cold hand traced along his Adam's apple, winding and circling. It was like a little snake, aimless, fluttering like a feather as it stirred him. It brought a flush of red to his jade-like skin, a redness that seeped into his collar, which could no longer hide her from him.
Yan Shang’s hands couldn't help but press against her waist.
She then looked innocent again.
She looked down at him with a half-smile.
Yan Shang’s breathing was completely disordered. He looked at Mu Wanyao with a hint of annoyance, secretly hating that his self-control was not enough. She was carelessly stoking his fire while coldly watching him display such an unsightly state... She teased him, mocked him, and tortured him.
Yan Shang used all his strength to pull his hands away from her waist.
He thought in a daze that he had never been able to properly touch her waist or embrace any part of her other than her back... He closed his eyes, steadying his breathing until his breath was no longer so desperate.
He said in a low voice: "Your Highness, please don't be like this."
Mu Wanyao smiled rather indifferently. Furthermore, her eyes were bright; seeing that he couldn't take it, she couldn't help but start to get excited.
Watching the youth who aimed to be a saint show such an unsightly expression because of her, watching him struggle to respond, yet stopping every time—for him, it was a torture... Finally, he endured until his muscles tensed, his hands resting on her shoulders, ready to push her down.
Mu Wanyao said: "What do you want to do? This is a prison, you know. You want to start with me like this?"
Yan Shang panted, his eyes slightly red: "Then what do you want to do?"
Mu Wanyao stared at him: "If you push me, you are offending a superior! My guards are waiting outside. With one shout from me, they will come in and take you down."
Yan Shang looked at her in disbelief.
Mu Wanyao leaned down and kissed him again, whispering between his lips: "Refusing me is also offending a superior. I’ll just let Guard Fang come in and see how you treat the Princess."
Yan Shang: "You... ah."
He suddenly felt incredibly shameful, his soul completely stirred by her. He once again reflected on whether he was being too indecorous regarding feminine charms, silently reciting to himself that beauty was but bones and dust, and that all things were empty.
Mu Wanyao: "..."
She widened her eyes, genuinely angered by him. The sweat on his face, the dampness at his temples, his tensed body—under his powerful will, it seemed they had all become external matters.
His inability to respond was meant to be torture, but now, with him controlling himself like this... what was she supposed to play with?
A corpse?
Mu Wanyao’s eyes swiveled lightly, and she smiled silently.
Just as Yan Shang was reciting to himself not to be affected by Mu Wanyao, he suddenly heard her low, cool voice: "Chunhua is leaving me."
Yan Shang was startled. His heart stilled for a moment, and he stopped his self-reflection to open his eyes and look at this Princess sitting in his arms.
Mu Wanyao lowered her eyes and said rather indifferently: "I don't know if you know, but I previously had Fang Tong return to the Princess’s mansion to fetch a pregnancy-preserving medicine, which was for Chunhua. Third Brother played a dirty game with me, wanting me to form an alliance with Fifth Brother and distance myself from the Crown Prince."
"Of course I refused. So, I went along with your wish to pull out the powerful clans. But Chunhua cannot come back. Because she is a pawn that must be sacrificed; she must enter Fifth Brother’s mansion, and she must, to some extent, make a connection between me and Fifth Brother."
"They planned everything well. I fought back, and I made their plans fail. They didn't expect that I would really discard the Zheng clan; they didn't expect that even though Chunhua entered Fifth Brother’s mansion, I could still use this move of discarding the powerful clans to avoid distancing myself from the Crown Prince. However, no matter what, I have lost Chunhua."
Yan Shang looked at her.
He raised his arms to hug her.
He was different from her; her embrace was a provocation, while his was warmth and comfort. His clothes were disarrayed and his hair messy, but when he embraced her now, holding her tightly, Mu Wanyao still felt his love and protection for her.
Yan Shang said softly: "Don't be sad."
Mu Wanyao buried her face in the crook of his neck. Her eyes were fixed on his Adam's apple without blinking, but she spoke with an indifferent tone, as if just chatting: "Chunhua is pregnant with Fifth Brother’s child. She can't come back. She cannot marry the person she wants to marry, nor can she be my maid anymore."
"Of the people who came back from Wuman, Chunhua is actually the only maid left who stayed by my side. Now she is leaving too... I have nothing left."
Yan Shang held her tightly. Once again, he said softly: "Don't be sad."
Mu Wanyao’s lips curled slightly. This time, as her hand slid into his collar, she felt him stiffen for an instant, but he didn't pull away anymore.
Mu Wanyao sneered inwardly.
She thought, the saint-like Yan Erlang is planning to sacrifice his body to comfort her.
Her hand pressed against his stomach; through the thin layer of his undergarments, Yan Shang held her hand down.
He kept his eyes closed, his chin resting on her shoulder, his face covered in sweat, his neck and cheeks flushed red.
He was trembling: "That is enough... Your Highness, please do not continue."
Mu Wanyao would not listen.
She leaned against his ear, biting it lightly, and laughed: "Why are you repelling me like this? That night when my aunt bullied you, I helped you just like this."
Yan Shang’s mind went boom.
He opened his eyes abruptly and looked at her. Mu Wanyao did not look at him; her hand continued to wander, and her lips remained against his ear.
She described what happened that night in his ear in a leisurely manner: "You were lying in the alley back then, and it was I who brought you back to the Princess’s mansion. You really are a fool; did you think a couple of acupuncture needles from the imperial physician could make you better? Hmph, without me, how could you have recovered?"
Her fragrance coiled around his heart: "You are so silly. I thought you would remember eventually; I didn't think you would never even try to think about it. You are so clever, yet you can't think of something like this... Isn't it laughable?"
"Yan Shang, Yan Shang... Brother Yan Er," she kissed him coquettishly, clutching his shoulders, both laughing and blushing. "Do you never relieve yourself? That night when we shared a pillow, you actually said to leave it alone and wait for it to subside on its own. Heavens, Brother Yan Er, how are you so silly? Do you really not know how it works between men and women?"
She looked up, her tongue lightly touching his chin, smiling brilliantly: "Am I the first one to kiss you? Am I the first one to hold you? Am I the first... woman to do this for you?"
Yan Shang grabbed her wrist.
His nerves were on the verge of collapse, his mind completely in chaos. Caught between ice and fire, he felt both pleasure and agony. He had to hold on and not move, because if he responded even once, she would stop.
She was so wicked. She left him dangling in mid-air, unable to go up or come down... He closed his eyes, frowning, his expression extremely agonizing: "You are too bad... you cannot do this... it's too dirty, it's too dirty, stop! Yaoyao!"
And at this point...
Could it be that she would stop just because of a single "Yaoyao" from him?
She chuckled in his arms, her face flushed as her hand massaged him. Her eyes darted downward, and Yan Shang pressed his hand against her head—this was his final bottom line: "Don't look... don't look!"
Fool.
Mu Wanyao thought.
And seeing him in such agony, she described the events of that night with even more vivid emotion.
Thus, in Yan Shang’s mind, involuntarily, he seemed to really remember what had happened before, overlapping with the scene before his eyes.
Only, that night, he had been lying in bed without consciousness, while this time, she was being wicked and sitting in his lap.
But it was always him.
Always her.
She reached out with her hands, opened her eyes, and her jade-white, slender fingers hooked into his sweat. Like a naughty little fish, she burrowed into his embrace...
Suddenly, footsteps were heard, and Yan Shang stiffened violently.
Even in the prison cell, he heard voices not far away—
Fang Tong: "What are you doing?"
Jailer: "Forgive me, Young Master, I am here to deliver the evening meal to Yan Erlang."
Fang Tong was suspicious: "What kind of food are you delivering in the middle of the night? Did you poison it?"
The jailer was almost frightened to tears: "No, no! This is something I agreed upon with Yan Erlang..."
The sound of the two people’s conversation drifted over from not far away. Mu Wanyao only paused for a moment, but noticing that Yan Shang’s whole body was rigid, he let out a groan and collapsed backward against the wall.
He closed his eyes, his eyelashes damp with mist, his face flushed red and pale, and he coughed twice.
Mu Wanyao looked down at her own hand and smiled slightly.
Fang Tong took the jailer away, naturally not letting anyone disturb the Princess.
However, on Yan Shang’s side, things had been cut short by the fright.
He coughed for a long while before finally catching his breath, his expression becoming even more agonizing.
He had been left with traces of their intimacy, and seeing Mu Wanyao’s hand when he opened his eyes, his face flushed even redder... He wanted to get a handkerchief for her but realized that in the prison, where would he have a soft handkerchief?
Yan Shang said awkwardly: "Your Highness... did you not bring a handkerchief?"
Mu Wanyao shot him a glance and leisurely took a handkerchief from her sleeve to wipe her hands. Only when Yan Shang saw that she had one did he breathe a sigh of relief.
Mu Wanyao smiled half-mockingly: "Why are you worried about me? My clothes are neat, my hair is not messy, and from top to bottom, there isn't a single trace on me. And you?"
Her gaze flicked downward, sweeping across his lower abdomen. He awkwardly covered himself with a mattress. Mu Wanyao ridiculed him: "What about the traces on you? How will you explain them? Will you tell people tomorrow that you were sleeping, but the prison environment was so bad that it couldn't stop you from having a wet dream?"
Yan Shang was embarrassed and gave her a slight glare.
After a long moment, he said: "I will naturally think of a way."
Mu Wanyao looked down to observe him, seeing the sweat on his forehead and his lips pressed so tightly together, yet that could not hide the trace of her lipstick staining him red.
He appeared aloof and self-composed, but she was sitting on his lap; she could easily feel that he had stiffened again without even having to move.
Mu Wanyao teased: "What is it, did I humiliate you? Is the current me, in your eyes, that aunt who humiliated you that night? In your eyes, am I as wicked as my aunt?"
Looking down at her eyes, she gently shook her head.
Mu Wanyao was stunned.
He lowered his eyes, not daring to look at her, his whole body numb and aching, yet he still said gently: "This is not humiliation, and you are not your aunt."
Mu Wanyao was cold: "Why not? Because I am younger and prettier than her?"
Yan Shang: "Because I have you in my heart."
Mu Wanyao: "..."
He raised his gaze to look at her.
He said softly: "You were angry that I didn't follow your instructions, but you refused to see me for several days and refused to leave me a word. My heart was chilled by you. You shouldn't treat me this way. If there is something I did poorly, you should tell me, rather than leaving without a word."
"And now, now... you are provoking me like this again."
He frowned with some distress: "Could it be that doing this can make you stop being angry?"
Mu Wanyao was silent.
Could doing this make her stop being angry?
Even at a time like this, he still spoke to her so gently. She had clearly told him not to move, and he had endured it. He had followed along with her mischief for so long... She had used Chunhua just to make herself feel better, and though he had been reluctant, he had finally followed her lead in everything.
He was such a good person.
As Mu Wanyao was lost in thought, she saw him looking toward her.
Their eyes met in the air, and as if only just realizing it, Mu Wanyao began to feel shy. And as her face flushed, his followed suit, and his gaze shifted away.
Mu Wanyao held back a laugh. Seeing his embarrassed appearance, the anger she felt toward him vanished instantly.
Mu Wanyao burst into laughter: "Doing this really can make me stop being angry. I won't blame you for killing the head of the Zheng clan anymore."
Yan Shang lowered his head, not daring to look into her eyes. After a long moment, he said: "...That is good."
Mu Wanyao said "Hm," and stood up, no longer sitting on his lap.
She retreated two steps with grace. Just as she had said, Yan Shang’s clothes were in disarray, while she had not been touched by him from beginning to end. While marveling at his self-control, Mu Wanyao also felt happy about the mischief she had caused him tonight.
But Mu Wanyao said: "Everything that happened tonight does not mean that my attitude toward you has changed."
Yan Shang was slightly startled.
He said: "Are you... still angry at me for something?"
Mu Wanyao meant that his detailed plans for their future still frightened her, but Yan Shang did not know which part she didn't like.
She was like a riddle to him.
He could never guess her thoughts correctly. Every time he made a plan for her, she would disrupt it halfway, leaving him not knowing what to do next... Now, Yan Shang looked at her blankly, no longer knowing what this counted as between the two of them.
Mu Wanyao didn't answer him. After teasing him for a while, she turned and left the prison, leaving him to stay there alone. And only when Yan Shang was no longer in sight did Mu Wanyao blush, clutching her pounding heart, feeling exceptionally cheerful.
When he is unaware and when he is awake, he is truly very different, isn't he?
She really likes it quite a lot.
At this time, in the Eastern Palace, the lamps remained unextinguished in the dead of night.
The Crown Prince was still handling official business, while Yang Si sat cross-legged to the side, cherishingly polishing a sword.
The Crown Prince said: "I told you to see Chancellor Liu and ask for his opinion on Yan Erlang. What did Chancellor Liu say?"
Yang Si was nonchalant: "He admires Yan Er quite a bit."
The Crown Prince nodded: "Then when the trial results come out tomorrow, Yan Erlang should be able to get out of prison."
Yang Si still didn't care: "Hmm."
The Crown Prince sat behind his desk, pondering quietly for a while, before suddenly looking up at Yang Si, who was still polishing his sword. He slowly said: "Tomorrow, you go in person to invite Yan Suchen to a grand banquet at your mansion to celebrate his release from prison."
Yang Si: "Huh?"
He looked up at the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince smiled slightly: "During this period, you have been running around for Yan Erlang’s affairs, going to the Ministry of Justice prison every day to see Yan Erlang, just because you were afraid someone in the Ministry of Justice would mistreat him. As long as he still wants to mingle in official circles, he will definitely be grateful to you for your concern for Yan Suchen."
"If you host a banquet at your mansion, I will come to your place then to meet Yan Er. Your actions represent me, and in Yan Erlang’s eyes, all of this should be me looking after him..."
Yang Si said coldly: "You mean to buy Yan Erlang’s heart? Were you letting me do what I did all these days without interference just so you could buy Yan Erlang’s heart?"
The Crown Prince countered: "Otherwise? Do you think I really didn't see you going to the Ministry of Justice to cause a huge scene every day? If I hadn't indulged you, would you have been able to go?"
The Crown Prince continued: "On this matter, I have figured it out. At the Qujiang Banquet that day, when Yan Suchen said he had read too few books—regardless of whether he really hadn't read many books or had read them but was fobbing me off—in short, I really misjudged him. I thought he was just using his talent for the Princess Luling to change the Top Scholar's result, but now I see, he has become famous in one shot... I no longer believe it was a stray arrow shot out by hot-blooded impulse."
"People like this, if they cannot be used by me, must be destroyed. I naturally do not want to destroy him, which is why I am seeking his talent."
Yang Si stood up, his gaze cold and chilling: "But he is Yaoyao’s retainer. He helps Yaoyao, and Yaoyao helps you; isn't that the same logic? Why must you take him away from Yaoyao’s side?"
The Crown Prince glanced at Yang Si and smiled: "After all, there is a Sixth Sister between us. People’s hearts are unpredictable; one cannot but be on guard."
"Besides, you said it yourself, Chancellor Liu admires him very much. Chancellor Liu is from the Secretariat, and I cannot reach into the Secretariat. If I cannot arrange an official position for Yan Er by my side, he might be snatched away by the Secretariat. The Secretariat is of course very good... but if Yan Suchen is indeed loyal to me, then it would be good for him to go to the Secretariat. If he is not loyal to me, I wouldn't like him to enter the Secretariat."
"The Secretariat handles all state affairs, and I only want true members of my own faction to enter the Secretariat."
Yang Si looked at the Crown Prince for a long time.
He said: "I will not host a banquet tomorrow, I will not invite Yan Erlang, and I will not help you snatch anyone away from Yaoyao’s side."
The Crown Prince’s gaze instantly turned cold as he looked at him.
After a while, the Crown Prince’s tone softened slightly: "Sanyuan, don't be unruly."
Yang Si: "Yaoyao doesn't have many people she can use; as long as someone has talent, you want to snatch them away. Since you want to use Yaoyao, why must you always force her like this? You talk nicely about recruiting talent and purging powerful clans. When have you ever cared if powerful clans harm the people? You have never cared; you only have politics in your eyes, only whether something has benefits for you!"
"If it benefits you, you take action. If it doesn't benefit you, even if refugees storm into Chang'an, I don't think you’d even blink an eye."
The Crown Prince: "Are you meeting me for the first time?"
He smiled sardonically: "What is it, do you only find me displeasing now?"
Meeting Yang Sanyuan’s gaze, the Crown Prince suddenly flew into a rage, sweeping everything off the desk—the reports, the lamps, all of it.
The massive noise in the study frightened the Crown Princess and others who were bringing in late-night snacks outside, and they trembled as they heard the Crown Prince’s high-pitched, angry voice from within: "You complain that my methods are treacherous! If it weren't for my methods, do you think that with your high-profile behavior, there is anyone in Chang'an who could protect you? You do whatever you want, and it isn't you—it's me who is covering for you... Who do you think gave you your abilities? Is it the Yang family?! Does the Yang family treat you with even half the dedication I have spent on you?!"
"Your wings have hardened, and you look down on my methods... You, Yang Sanyuan, are so open and upright! Your open and uprightness—it’s all something I gave you!"
The Crown Princess outside was shivering, and the trays held by the maids behind her were almost too heavy to hold. The Crown Prince rarely lost his temper this badly; he was actually arguing with Yang Sanyuan...
From inside the study came Yang Si’s voice: "I have never disliked you, nor said you were bad! Of course I know you have it hard, and of course I know that everything I have today is because you are shielding me. So whatever you do, I support you; whatever you want, I help you get... I am just the sword in your hand! I am the one who will risk life and limb for your ideals!"
"But you cannot treat Yaoyao like this! Did I not say anything about how you treated Yaoyao before? I just want you not to go too far... At least leave her some ability to protect herself, leave her some people she can use! At least one day, if you want to abandon her, let her not end up as mere fish on a chopping block, at the mercy of others!"
"I listen to you for everything! I just don't want to listen to you this one time!"
The Crown Prince roared: "Get out!"
The next moment, the Crown Princess and the others standing outside the study saw with extreme alarm that the study door was pulled open. The Crown Princess saw Yang Sanyuan rush out in a fit of rage, and when he saw her, Yang Si was stunned for a moment. Yang Si probably wanted to retort or greet the Crown Princess, but his lips trembled, and in the end, he didn't speak; he just put on his shoes and left.
Crown Princess: "Sanyuan, Sanyuan..."
The Crown Princess could not call Yang Sanyuan back. She then tremblingly entered the study to look at the Crown Prince. She saw the young man standing in the middle of the room, with books and papers scattered all over the floor, and cups and lamps all broken. The curtains were fluttering, and the Crown Prince’s complexion was extremely ugly.
Turning around, the Crown Prince looked at the Crown Princess.
Crown Princess whispered: "Shall we just let Yang Sanyuan leave like this?"
The Crown Prince was expressionless.
The Crown Princess said: "The palace gates are locked; he seemed to leave carrying his sword just now, but forgot to take his identity plaque, so he probably can't leave the palace..."
The Crown Prince closed his eyes in endurance.
Finally, he said hoarsely: "...Send the identity plaque to that idiot!"
After Yang Si left the Eastern Palace and was walking toward the palace exit, he only then remembered that he had forgotten his identity plaque. But he was still angry and didn't want to go back and face the Crown Prince’s cold eyes.
Fortunately, he had only wandered near the palace gate for a while when someone from the Eastern Palace came to deliver the plaque.
Yang Si saw the eunuch delivering the plaque wearing an expression of hesitation, wanting to say something, but he paid no attention to him at all, took the plaque, and left the palace, leaving the eunuch behind to sigh.
After Yang Si left the palace gate, he had originally intended to go straight back to his mansion, but unexpectedly, while passing the Ministry of Justice, he saw a familiar figure at the entrance near the prison.
The girl was escorted by guards to a carriage, wrapped up very tightly.
However, how familiar was Yang Si with her?
He recognized at a glance that it was Mu Wanyao.
Yang Si was slightly startled, thinking to himself, why did she come here?
Looking toward the direction of the prison, Yang Si was deep in thought: Could it be that she came to see Yan Shang?
Hmm... her behavior is most unusual.
The next day, the results of the joint trial were released, and Yan Shang was released on the spot. Everyone in the hall offered their congratulations on his freedom.
Only, the person sent from the Court of Judicial Review today was a strange official, not the Yang Sanyuan that Yan Shang was familiar with, which made Yan Shang reflect on what might have happened.
Yan Shang left the Ministry of Justice and the Imperial City, and was immediately surrounded by Imperial Academy students and commoners waiting outside.
As he was dealing with these people, he suddenly saw a youth in red robes passing by in the corner.
It was Yang Si.
He saw Yang Si walk toward a carriage parked by the side of the road.
Yan Shang was just about to go over to greet him when he saw Yang Si knock on the carriage; the door opened, revealing the face of the person inside.
Yan Shang was stunned. Although it was only a glance, he had been tormented by this person just last night... It was Mu Wanyao.
A sudden wave of discomfort washed over his heart.
Could it be that Mu Wanyao and Yang Si were meeting in secret?
Why?
Mu Wanyao was quietly sitting in the carriage. To avoid being recognized, she had even changed into a maid’s clothes.
She waited here, wanting to watch Yan Shang pass by, to look at him or perhaps tease him. She should have been at the summer resort, so it was not convenient for her to appear here.
But... Yan Shang had been released from prison.
She still wanted to see him the first moment she could.
And give him a scare.
As she sat in the carriage, resting her chin on her hand, stifling a laugh at her own thoughts, the wall of the carriage was knocked on twice from the outside.
The next moment, the carriage door opened, but it wasn't the person she was familiar with; instead, Yang Si jumped into the carriage.
Mu Wanyao: "..."
Yang Si closed the door and sat with her. He looked at her with time to spare, and suddenly smiled teasingly: "Why that expression when you see me? What is it, you came to wait for Yan Er but ended up waiting for me, not happy?"
He said: "Do you like Yan Er? Do you want to marry him?"
Mu Wanyao’s complexion faded, and she looked away: "Are you here to lecture me that I shouldn't like him, and that I should keep my distance from him?"
Yang Si stared at her.
After a long time, he mocked himself: "Is that how you view me? I would give anything for you to have a man you like, to have someone you want to marry. I would give anything for you to find happiness, Yaoyao.”
