Zhan Zhao Adventures - Chapter Three (Part IV)

Chapter Three: Eternal Longing (Part IV)

The gaze of the Sun-Wielding Envoy, who was dressed in green clothing, remained just like a dead man's, without half a bit of human emotion.

His gaze was not cold at all, yet it could make a person shudder without being cold.

"Good skill!"

Like a streak of a startled swan, his circular blade was already out of its scabbard.

──The "Long Rainbow Piercing the Sun" of the Cold Water Palace.

A piece of white silk handkerchief lightly wiped across the blade edge, and was immediately tossed onto the ground.

"My blade has always never been wiped unless it sees blood. Today, I make an exception for your excellency."

"To be able to exchange moves with your excellency makes my trip to the Central Plains not in vain. For 'Long Rainbow Piercing the Sun' to face the 'Zhanlu' in your excellency's hand also does not waste the lifelong heroic fame of this weapon."

He had been standing to the side all along, and had actually already recognized the long sword in Zhan Rifei's hand.

"I kill people, and have always used only one move. I would like to see whether your excellency can take three moves from me."

He grinned savagely.

"Only because under my Cold Water Blade Technique, no one can use tricks."

Along with the words landing on the ground, his move was already launched!

The blade momentum appeared extremely slow.

The Sun-Wielding Envoy held the blade with both hands simultaneously, holding it high toward heaven, just like a sudden clap of thunder in a dry sky. Person and blade united as one, the momentum fierce and sharp, extraordinarily majestic and vigorous. A wave of strangling force, swirling, responding to the blade momentum, instantly filled heaven and earth.

Zhan Rifei's face actually changed somewhat. The Sun-Wielding Envoy's blade momentum looked extremely slow, but turned out to be three moves launched together!

Under the surging blade momentum, it nevertheless sealed heaven and closed earth; the three blades were like rising and falling billows, vast and boundless, making it so a person had nowhere to avoid. Zhan Rifei especially could not retreat.

Behind him, was precisely that thin and weak boy.

Facing such a blade momentum, how was he to receive the move?

With a "chi" sound, the lapel of the boy standing behind Zhan Rifei had already split. The powerful blade wind had already shocked him so he fell backward, pressing down so he could not catch his breath. His young and small body was just like a solitary boat about to capsize in this violent storm.

The icy sharp edge seemed to have already pierced into his skin, making him break out in goosebumps. The Sun-Wielding Envoy's sharp internal energy made his eyes as if afflicted by a blight, unable to open again!

Within the haziness, he only vaguely saw a streak of ice-colored brilliance fly up from Zhan Rifei's hand.

The boy had never thought before that there would actually be a brilliance that assumed an ice color in this world, and that this brilliance would actually be so magnificent.

Blade and sword finally intersected!

That was a clear and resonant sound like a world of ice and snow.

Yet this sound was also so suppressed.

Being shocked by this sound that was not loud or resonant, the boy actually spat out a mouthful of fresh blood directly. His chest was as if struck by a large hammer, and with a roll of his two eyes, he actually fainted away.

At the moment he lost consciousness, there was a hand that had already gripped his arm.

For a time, he only felt that that hand possessed an unspeakable coldness.
