Chapter Eight: Vainly Knitting Brows (Part IV)

Not knowing at what time, the rain, again began pattering-wise and pit-a-pat-wise to fall down.

That young girl lightly let out a single sigh-breath, and in a ghostly manner said: "Ming Zhu'er, we still hit the road and go on our way. The Xiangyang city, we in the final result must go to. Going to Xiangyang from here, after all is not very far."

Ming Zhu'er responded and said: "Yes."

But however he still turned back his head over, and evilly and fiercely gave a fierce glare at Huo Linglong who was still there blankly staring for a single glance.

Within the micro-rain, he with one hand supported up the umbrella, and with one hand supported his older sister.

His stature although was small, he however straightened up his chest-pond, just as if he were a warrior going forth to battle, guarding and escorting his heart-loved relative. No matter what kind of hardships and dangers were before him, he additionally possessed sufficient confidence.

Within the rain mist, two tiny and small silhouettes gradually disappeared inside the early rising night color.

The road heading toward Xiangyang was precisely before the eyes.

Having walked for a long duration, Ming Zhu'er again turned back his head to look at the coming road for a single glance; faintly he saw, Huo Linglong's silhouette also gradually had turned small: this yellow-gowned young girl, although her face and features already could not be seen clearly, yet still blankly and stupidly stood at the road side.

The wind rose.

The wind was crackling and tearing, upon this the rain was even more hazy and misty, drenching the heart that was originally broken to where it unexpectedly was a thorough-to-the-heart cold.

Huo Linglong blankly and staringly stood within the rain, inside her head and brain was a single slice of lost blindness. The hazy and misty fine rain was by the wind wrapped and carried, dripping-wise and falling-wise, washing and brushing her face. Her face, for a flash of time turned haggard by a great deal.

Within the boundless night color, not knowing who it was within a short flute lightly singing.

Faintly and indistinctly, one only heard a gentle-wise voice in a casual voice sing and chant: "The matters before the body and after the body are boundless and blind; wanting to speak of primary causes and conditions, one fears breaking the intestines. Wu and Yue's mountains and river streams have been searched entirely and thoroughly, yet one returns the smoke-oar to go up the Qutang."

Ming Yue'er's singing voice gradually departed far away. Huo Linglong's tears, however finally snatched out of the eye-sockets. Between heaven and earth, looking out it already was a single hazy and blurred slice, not knowing whether it was rain water, or was tear water.
