Love For You - Chapter 27

Chapter 27: Midnight on the Sofa

Miao Jing stood before him, a bright smile on her face and eyes shimmering like autumn water. Relaxed and at ease, she pulled off her hair tie, letting a cascade of fluffy long hair tumble down. As she moved, her hair brushed over her shoulders. She looked up at him, and as she reached her arms upward, the collar of her knit sweater slowly slid down to reveal her alluring frame. Her long, smooth dress pooled heavily onto the floor. She kicked off her shoes, her bare feet pressing casually against the discarded clothes. The black silk underwear, with its minimal fabric and exquisite sheen, clung to her fair, slender body, giving her the texture of sweet, white-glazed porcelain.

Beneath the loose clothing, her body was unexpectedly delicate and beautiful.

Chen Yi sat on the sofa, motionless. He could only feel his blood flowing cold and slow through his body, watching the person before him with apathy. His pitch-black eyes remained remarkably distant, yet his gaze was firmly glued to her.

That gaze felt tangible, like a transparent spider silk, wandering over her hair, eyebrows, eyes, lips, neck, and body, savoring the warmth and strength he had once bestowed upon her. The memories flowed within that sweet, hidden, and frantic exploration—his gaze, deep as a well, was like buried ice and snow, concealing a faint, cold, cyan flame that leaped silently beneath a thick layer of ice.

She walked closer, and he felt the weight of her sinking into his lap. Her slender, jade-like fingers pressed against his sturdy thigh, then moved to stroke his broad chest, finally coming to rest on his stern, angular cheek.

Facing her skin, which was as fair as frost and snow, Chen Yi rolled his Adam's apple. He closed his eyes, his expression indifferent, but his hand moved instinctively to circle her slender waist, rubbing against her smooth, warm skin.

After a long while, his voice came out hoarse. “In the summer, you felt cool to the touch. When the weather turned cold, you were warm again. You were always especially comfortable to hold.”

His distinct, bony fingers wandered over her graceful body without a hint of warmth.

“Your breasts aren't very big; one hand is just enough to cup them. You have to squeeze hard just to force a deep cleavage.”

“You dress so tightly every day, but your skin is actually very delicate. A casual kiss is enough to leave a mark.”

His large hand lingered on her straight, long legs; the silk-like, smooth sensation of her skin was addictive.

“If I thrust right here, it leaves a big red mark that doesn't fade until the next morning.”

His slender fingers finally rested against that small scrap of fabric, rubbing and kneading it lightly, back and forth, almost imperceptibly.

Miao Jing tried her best to hold back her ragged breathing. Her body stiffened, and the jade arm resting on his shoulder trembled slightly. Her eyes grew misty and rippled with emotion, and she bit her lower lip, letting him explore.

Whether it was burning jealousy or overwhelming resentment, his tone remained exceptionally restrained and calm.

“Are they better than me?”

She asked, her voice trembling, “In what way?”

His tone was gentle and intimate. “What do you think?”

“Of course…” She half-closed her eyes, swallowing with difficulty.

His deep, black eyes suddenly snapped open, flashing with a sudden brilliance. He stared intently at her, inspecting her closely, his lips slowly curling into a cold, debauched, and shallow smile. “Why aren't you wet enough…”

Miao Jing was slightly stunned.

“I remember you used to get wet very quickly with just a touch. Didn't you do it at the hotel? After a shower, you’d feel cool, smelling of vapor and body wash.” His large palm kneaded her flawless skin wantonly. “Seven hours—that’s enough time to do anything. How come there was no kissing or touching? There isn't a single mark on you.”

His fingers slipped through the fabric, his knuckles curving to slide back and forth against her softness. Miao Jing let out a muffled gasp, her waist sagging. She bit her lip to silence herself, her eyebrows tightly knitted as she leaned against his shoulder.

The veins in his temples bulged. His entire body was as rigid as iron, cold and radiating hostility. His arm muscles tensed until they threatened to burst. His fingers moved with difficulty. “After we finish, you get especially wet and soft down there. Just a little touch is enough to make you drip.”

With his sudden, rough movement, Miao Jing twisted her waist. Her body trembled and swayed with his actions, the corners of her eyes flushing red. “Chen Yi.” She called his name, her voice soft and powerless. His fingers entering her made her body feel unbearable and uncomfortable, and she frowned, gasping for air.

Chen Yi’s brow was locked in a deep furrow, his back teeth gritted hard. “You didn’t come back for me. Who the hell cares if you came back? You think you’re something special? You come back, seduce me, and make a scene. Who do you think I am? I’m a street thug, and you want to play games with me? Are you fucking asking for death?”

His whole body was as hard as stone and burning hot, yet his mind was cold. His rough fingertips were maliciously cruel. Miao Jing cried out his name again and again, the discomfort becoming overwhelming. Without foreplay or comfort, she kept saying it hurt, her small face screwed up. Her waist went limp, and she struggled and rubbed against him, trying to escape his restraint. Her face flushed, and she collapsed against his arm, panting rapidly.

How could he be in the mood for romance? The person in his arms was as enchanting and thorny as a demon. Ever since she returned, his once carefree life had been turned upside down. If she had just been obedient, things might have been fine, but she insisted on causing trouble, tossing him to and fro. How could those cherry lips say so many heart-piercing things, frying his heart over and over in a pan of oil? She only ever knew how to add to his troubles and cause him grief. Since when in his life had he ever owed her anything?

His large palm didn't show any mercy. He raised his hand and spanked her bottom, his expression vicious. “I’m your fucking brother. You dare treat me like this? I’ve been out on the streets for over a decade—you think I’d fall for you?”

The sound of each crisp slap shattered the amorous atmosphere. Her buttocks were sore and numb, and she was filled with shame and embarrassment. She kicked and struggled against him, her face flushing to an intense, vibrant color.

“Chen Yi! Chen Yi!! Ah… it hurts…”

The sensation of the firm bottom under his hand was excellent. He rubbed, pinched, and struck her, the sound of the slaps incessant, and a hint of cruel pleasure rose in his heart as he cursed.

“Do you remember how I used to beat you when you were a kid? You have the nerve to say those things to me—tired of living, are you? Do you think I don’t see how you’re baiting me? Teasing me on purpose? You’ve got some nerve after being away for a few years. Coming back for a vacation—what are you trying to show off? Using these tricks on me—is it that exhilarating? That stimulating? Huh?”

Miao Jing’s eyes filled with tears as she gritted her teeth. “Aren't you enjoying it, too? While I was gone, you let Tu Li wear my dress and sleep with you, and then you secretly washed the dress afterward. Wasn't that stimulating enough for you?”

“We didn't do it. I hit the brakes.” She was using this to goad him again. He roared, and with a final slap, he hit her hard. “I, for one, keep my word. Since you came back, when have I not been humoring you!”

She lay limply but stubbornly on the sofa, feeling only the stinging, fiery pain in her buttocks and an overwhelming sense of shame. Her cherry lips and eyebrows were both pouted and knitted. Tears were welling up in her eyes. Chen Yi was so angry his face was livid. His mind and body felt split apart, punctured by holes. Cold and heat surged within him. His body trembled violently. He desperately fumbled for his cigarette case, shaking as he put a filter in his mouth and lit it. The spark ignited, and he took several fierce drags before slumping back, his head tilted up, only then feeling slightly relieved.

His cold, fierce eyes were hidden in thick, heavy smoke. Miao Jing’s body brushed against him, her face buried in her disheveled hair. He held his arms rigid. After half a cigarette, he unbuckled his belt; only then did his swollen, throbbing groin feel a bit better. With the cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, he gave her a shove and said with a flippant tone, “I’m not interested. Didn't you want to do it? Get on top yourself and let me see what you’re capable of.”

Miao Jing was pushed into a twist. She lifted her head slightly, her brows and eyes listless, but she had no energy left. She simply followed the momentum of his movement, resting her head against his thigh. Occasionally, she blinked her eyelashes, pursed her lips, and curled her body in cold, silent resignation.

Chen Yi smoked two more cigarettes, the smoke turning the living room murky and dim. He had endured so much agony throughout the day, and having drunk alcohol in the evening, he really couldn't be bothered to move. He sprawled across the sofa, his large limbs heavy. His arm brushed against her cold, thin shoulders. She was curled into a small ball beside him. Holding his breath and closing his eyes, he didn't speak. Hardening his heart, he dragged her into his arms, tucking her into the gap between his body and the sofa. He pressed his chest against her back, grabbed a sofa throw, shook it out to cover them, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

The sofa, not exactly spacious, was squeezed tight, barely enough to fit two adults lying on their sides. Miao Jing’s body began to warm up from his body heat behind her. The strong scent of smoke and alcohol wrapped around her smooth skin—remote yet familiar, it provided an unexpected sense of stability. Before she knew it, she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

They had a similar dream.

That sweltering summer, in a room with the curtains drawn tight and the light dim, the buzzing of the electric fan brought a touch of coolness, stirring their thin bodies. The two slept in each other's arms, rubbing against each other, whispering in low voices.

This position of snuggling to sleep couldn't last the whole night. Around two or three in the morning, the two turned over in their sleep, vaguely sensing the person beside them. They were in a state between waking and sleeping, their consciousness blurred and wandering. I don’t know who started it first—a light kiss by the ear, then wandering to the cheek, and finally finding her soft lips. It was a kiss of extreme intimacy and suction.

Half-asleep, their tangled breaths were hazy and intoxicated. The fresh, sweet scent and the faint smell of tobacco mixed together. Their bodies had an instinctive desire, comfort, and slight trepidation. Their mental and physical defenses were completely lost in the pleasure of the kiss. It was a blurred period between the past and the present; no one wanted to pursue whether it was the past or the now. A large hand wandered into the slippery space between her legs, rubbing and grinding incessantly. A subtle electric current darted through their intertwined limbs. He released his soaring desire silently, thrusting his heat into that tightly closed crevice. Her body trembled, and a suppressed gasp leaked from their joined lips. The deep, soft, and desiring kisses echoed the powerful thrusts of his waist. From a steady, rhythmic pace to a rapid, crashing collision, the dark living room echoed with ambiguous sounds. Fabric wiped away the fluid on their skin, and everything returned to stillness.

Both had their eyes closed, breathing lightly. Their hands and feet were intertwined. He buried his head in her long hair to absorb her scent, and she rested on his arm, resting in his embrace. Her fingers stroked his smooth muscles back and forth, whispering like a dream.

“What did you do during the years I was gone?”

“Just getting by, making money.”

“What else?”

“Playing around.”

“Did you miss me?”

“Occasionally.”

“Was there anything… anything special?”

“No.”

“Why did Bo Zai end up with a limp? What happened to that nightclub later? Where did you go afterward…”

“Why bring up such things? I have a proper status now; I’ve turned over a new leaf.”

He pulled her tighter and fell back into a deep sleep. Miao Jing kept her eyes closed, curled up quietly, and accompanied by his steady breathing, she drifted off into her dreams once more.
